Tango Productions Inc. is currently wrapping up post production and DVD authoring for Sonnewalds Natural Foods annual "Weed Walks" with Grace Lefever. Sonnewald (Pennsylvania Dutch for “Sunny Forest”) Natural Foods is located on a 60-acre farm in Stoverstown, 8 miles southwest of York, PA. It may be the oldest existing chemical-free farm and natural food store in Pennsylvania. These "Weed Walks" take place May through June and allow the participants an interesting and informative look into the lost the wisdom of the "weeds".

With the backdrop of the beautiful Sonnewalds Farm, Grace Lefever presents a plethora of local fauna, that many dismiss as a burden, but actually provide an abundance of nutritional and medical benefits.

Tango was on hand to capture the presentation live in stunning HD quality. We placed our top camera man "in the field" to follow Grace with a Steadicam rig that provided fluid movement and exceptional image quality via the mounted Sony HDCam 730. Our second angles were achieved using the more compact Sony XDCam EX3. Mixing this footage together in Smoke and color correcting accordingly we were able to produce some very crisp and compelling images that held up even in the down conversion to DVD. This project also put Photoshop through its paces, as we created stills and mattes for the 30+ different plants that Grace discusses throughout the program. Lastly, we added a subtle soundtrack using the Mac app by the same name.

Sonnewalds will be making the DVD available at their retail location and at the different events and festivals they attend. The DVD package will even include a field guide as well as the informational DVD to help you start identifying and using these plants.
